What a wonderful house for a family reunion! I can see why you sent such detailed directions on finding it, though! Everyone made it safely... After driving in from the Trough Creek Park area and passing numerous hunting and fishing-type camps, my son-in-law said he couldn't get over how beautiful the Hideout is... Since I'm the main person who advocated having a reunion and did the bulk of the planning, you can imagine how good I felt when everyone sat on the porch catching up with each other... Thanks again for a beautiful house for a great weekend!

July 11-18, 2010 We spent the week for our son's wedding at Raystown Lake. The house was spacious and comfortable for our guests. The drive to the lake was about 20 minutes. We spent a day at the Waterpark at Raystown and boating,skiing, tubing were fantastic! We saw deer on the lane and the sky was filled with stars not seen in city landscapes! We had a wonderful time. With our son graduating from Penn State May 14, 2010 and all the hotels booked so far in advance, we were the lucky recipients of all the Hideout had to offer. Several of our family members wanted to join us but the hotel situation made it difficult until David Pelletier made it happen! Thanks David, it was by far one of the best family outings we have had together. The house was perfect as was the seclusion and the "wildlife" was so friendly that without a doubt we will return!!

06/02/2010 - We truly enjoyed the Hideout! It was ideal for an extended family get together. Nearby Trough Creek State Park has lots to explore and was great for kids of all ages. We hope to come back next year.

02/26/2010 - We had a wonderful time at the Spur of The Moment Hideout! We had plenty of room and a really cool horse barn in the back yard. I would recommend everyone take some time to stay there!

"We had a wonderful time at the Hideout. It was one of those magical times for our family. Christmas Eve everyone went into a rather large church that was nearby for the 7:00 p.m. service and the congregation was most welcoming. On Christmas day, after opening presents, we went outside for sledding, laughter, snowman building (our FL daughter-in-law had never sledded nor built a snowman nor experienced a white Christmas before), igloo building (which will probably be there until spring so I'm sure you'll see it) and a good old fashion snowball fight. Much happiness and laughter. We also walked through the woods on numerous occasions though we ate much more food than was taken care of by our walks. Again, thank you for providing us with a lovely home that fostered magical memories."

"Your house is absolutely beautiful and was the perfect size for our group... Thursday night driving up to the house, a herd of deer galloped right past us--very cool and reminiscent of the scene from Jurassic Park. But the best part was just sitting out on the porch with some old buddies... Friday night a huge flock of wild turkeys landed in the tall grass, and we just sat there and observed... I would like to take my family there some day, to enjoy the lake and the surrounding areas."

"We had a wonderful time! The house was beautiful especially with the snow. It was cold and windy but the house stayed nice and toasty. I don't think anything would need to be changed! It's great that you provide so many different amentities to the renter. I appreciated the Christmas tree and decorations it made it feel very homey. "We all loved your house and the location was quite interesting to find. Between the maps you provided and auto GPS, we found it! I loved the seclusion of the house!! We also loved the open floor plan of the house that made socializing easy, especially during dinner prep's and hanging out. The kitchen supplies (pots, pans, utensils, placemats, knives, cutting boards & BBQ) were by far the best I've seen for a rental... ...we loved everything about the house!! We will be return guests sometime in the future!!"
